Long Lake

Long Lake is a clear, spring-fed lake, 2 1/2 miles long, 289 acres in size, and 48 feet deep, although many locals claim that there are spots well over 60 feet (likely where springs have created depressions in the bottom of the lake).  Because it is nestled in the valley of an old river bed, the waters are extraordinarily calm. There is a small public launch near Ackers Point, but there is relatively little boat traffic due to the proximity of other, high-traffic lakes. This lake is an all sports lake. Residents and Resort guests alike enjoy the fishing (bass, pike, bluegill, perch, crappie), kayaking, canoeing, sailing, swimming, boating, waterskiing, etc. The residents truly enjoy their community and the tranquility of their lake.

Long Lake is located very close to the towns of Hastings and Delton, making grocery and supply runs convenient for visitors. Hastings offers a charming downtown with shops, restaurants, a movie theatre, a brewery and a number of events throughout the summer. There are also several golf courses, parks, and local attractions such as the Gilmore Car Museum for guests to explore. For those wanting to venture into "big cities", Battle Creek, Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids are approximately 30 and 45 minutes away.
